Illustration:Tech&Tuner – An Online State of Mind

Illustration I did for Frank De Castro’s editorial page “Frankly Speaking”.

Excerpt from Tech&Tuner’s ‘Frankly Speaking’ – The Warranty Trap in C! Magazine’s October 2012 issue.

“A smart device with an always on data connection reminds me so much of Star Trek. Do you remember the PADD (Personal Access Display Device) and the Tricorder? I just loved how they would whip either device out and pull up any information they needed. They could access data about the different cultures, starships, or general information right at their fingertips. Similarly, we can do the same thing with our tablets and smartphones. I remember going to a motor show and looking up the specs of cars on the floor. I’ve even had my smartphone translate foreign text for me.”

“Wheel 2 Wheel was created by the late Kookie Ramirez in 2009 to help promote local motorsports. It used to be a stand alone magazine until it was incorporated into C! Magazine in April 2010. It eventually became the dedicated section of C! Magazine for motorcycles, motorcycle related events, local motorsports, bike and car club features, and club events.”Like their FB Page

Illustration I did for Frank De Castro’s editorial page “Frankly Speaking”.

Excerpt from Tech&Tuner’s ‘Frankly Speaking’ – The Warranty Trap in C! Magazine’s September 2012 issue.

“Don’t you just hate it when your gadget konks out a day after the warranty expires? It’s happened to me several times with different things: hard drives, mice, music players, etc. It’s painful when it happens. You think to yourself, if only it happened a day earlier.”

Got the chance to illustrate in Frank De Castro’s editorial page (again) “Frankly Speaking”.

Excerpt from Tech&Tuner’s Frankly Speaking – Missing the Familiar in C! Magazine’s August 2012 issue.

“As you’ve probably noticed, I review a lot of smartphones. This means that I give up my personal smartphone while I do the tests.”
